Jim Piccolo Charitable Foundation
Jim Piccolo is also one of those new wave philanthropists, believing, as many of his peers do, that the future of our world can be greatly improved through the charitable contributions of affluent individuals and successful companies. With his many public speaking engagements nationwide, he often asks his audiences and entrepreneurs to consider giving back from their newfound success and wealth.
As a philanthropist he is well known specially for his support and donations to Children’s Charities. He believes in the importance of empowering children and encouraging their interest to music and sports combined with Christian activities to keep them away from negative influences.
His charitable foundation, created in 2007 named after his father, The Frank Edward Piccolo Foundation supports and donates to many kid’s charities, including the Help4Kidz, The Starlight Foundation™, Judis’ house and The Rock. His foundation also promotes volunteerism to youth and families by listing a diversity of opportunities for young people to volunteer and participate.
As Piccolo trains his students through his Corporation to do as he does—give back—it presents a whole new challenge. Which of the many opportunities does one endorse? How does one find a charity that is responsible? According to Piccolo, it is easy. “You look at the people who are running the foundation or charity, and you believe and trust them,” he says. “You look for true integrity, where their intentions are pure and honest. That is where you place your endorsement and your dollars.”
Prize Fighter
Piccolo and Nouveau Riche Corporation believe they have found those very ingredients in Celebrity Fight Night, a nonprofit organization founded in 1994 by Jimmy Walker. The organization supports the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, as well as several other worthy charities.

In a recent interview, Walker says that his philosophy about his charity is simple: “To whom much is given, much is expected. I think
It should apply to all of us.” In the 13 years since founding Celebrity Fight Night, Walker has raised more than $45 million. He credits a lot of people for this success and is hopeful that more can be accomplished.
Walker is a humble man—which is part of the reason the new breed of entrepreneurial philanthropists, like Piccolo, endorse his charity. The feeling is mutual for Walker in his regard for great givers like Piccolo. “Jim Piccolo is pretty well-known for his business success,” Walker says. “However, what really moved me about him is his humility as a person and his sincere, deep compassion for his philanthropic activity. We’re just thankful for Jim’s friendship and for the relationship that we have for our charity event.”
With the continued support from responsible and caring entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations like Celebrity Fight Night can help many underprivileged people get the help that they so desperately need.
Charity’s Champion
As a result of Celebrity Fight Night, Walker and his team launched the Ali Care program. Ali Care reflects the commitment of Muhammad Ali to all people, regard- less of ability to pay, to have access to treatment, medica tions and therapies needed to manage Parkinson’s disease. “Through Ali Care,” Walker says, “we were able to help those patients who do not have insurance or financial resources to pay for medications or physician visits.”
What this world needs is more people like Piccolo and Walker to help give people a fighting chance.
